A first of its kind half marathon in the quad city areas of Northern Minnesota s Iron Range. The race will start with participants meeting at the Iron Trail Motors Event Center in Virginia, Minnesota the morning of August 15th. Busses will transport participants to the Mesabi Trail headquarters in Eveleth, Minnesota. The race starts in Eveleth at the trail head and continues through the beautiful North woods from Eveleth through Gilbert and into Virginia on the Mesabi Trail, including the iconic Thomas Rukavina Memorial bridge (the highest bridge in Minnesota) ending at the ITMEC. Awards: Official results and age division awards will be based on your Chip time. Age Divisions are as follows: 12-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-99 Friday evening will be our second year of our 5k event! The race will begin and end at the iron trail event center, and it will be a timed event with the same age divisions. Come join us for some fun to kick off the big half marathon weekend! August 14th FREE kids run starts at 5pm and 5k will be at 6pm at Iron Trail Motors Event Center.
